Highlighted Quotes

“A Blank Slate”

Now that I have a clear head and a blank slate that I can write whatever I want on... I can fill my mind with whatever information I want to fill it with and I decided I don't want that to be prison war stories or reminiscing about using drugs and partying. I want it to be all of the things that I'm interested in...things that are practical, things that are educational, things that are uplifting...whatever is right... Now  I get to decide what I put in my brain.

“The Past”

I can't help but think about the ways that my life should have been could have been better when I was younger, but it's irrelevant at this point. Am I gonna let that dominate my thought process now? or am I just going to do what I need to do to take care of myself and my loved ones? Because dwelling on how things could have been is just living in the past.

“Prison”

It was almost unfathomable for me to think that I could be doing life in prison for something I did when I was a kid. I spent a good set of almost two years fighting my case, that's two years of not knowing whether or not I was going to do life in prison... it's the hardest pill you're gonna ever have to swallow.
